Barry George

  • As Centre Manager, Barry George joined Te Puru at the end of 2023 and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Te Puru facilities. Barry previously worked at the Kolmar Centre in Papatoetoe and Counties Manukau Sport. He wants to see Te Puru as a place people want to meet up and socialise and to enable more sport and recreation opportunities to the community.

Maia Biddulph

  • A familiar face to many at Te Puru, Maia has worked at the centre for seven years and is currently the Administration Manager. She is also heavily involved in the netball club, serving as the treasurer and a coach. Her goal is to ensure that Te Puru continues to provide quality programmes and services to our community.

Maddie Smith

  • Maddie joined Te Puru in 2022 and holds several roles, including coordinating the gymnastics programme and overseeing Te Puru’s events and marketing. The thriving gymnastics programme is thanks in large part to Maddie’s efforts in introducing a variety of new classes suitable for all ages, abilities, and interest levels.

Melissa Lee

  • Te Puru welcomed Mel back to the team in 2024 after she had previously worked at the centre before pursuing a teaching career. She has returned as the Sports Manager and is committed to seeing a thriving facility that serves people from across our community.
